Established in 2006, Pippa Paton Design is an interior design, architecture and project management studio based in Kingston Bagpuize, Oxfordshire. Focusing primarily on historic and character properties throughout the Cotswolds, the studio’s extensive experience ranges from the interior design of traditional Cotswold country cottages to the gutting and complete renovation of manor houses.
Specialising in renovating, refurbishing, extending and transforming residential properties for 21st century living, the studio ensures each project is beautifully designed and smoothly executed from start to finish. With a real emphasis on precision and creative detail, the multidisciplinary team create beautiful and inspiring contemporary homes that people love to live in.
Pippa Paton Design places the client at the heart of the project whilst paying particular attention to the nature and history of the building itself. This specialist approach transforms homes into bespoke environments tailored around the client’s spirit, needs and lifestyle. Contemporary and eclectic designs are combined with traditional architecture and features, deftly blending the new and the old to achieve exceptional results.
Dedicated to the stunning design and outstanding quality which truly enhances the homes and lives of their clients, the studio provides a highly personalised and professional service. Featured three times in the international Andrew Martin Interior Design Review, Pippa Paton Design is the established specialist contemporary Cotswold interior design company.
Pippa Paton is a multi award-winning, industry-recognised interior designer and spatial planner who is the Founder and Design Director of Pippa Paton Design. Pippa leads her team of talented interior designers to create exceptional spaces that bring together contemporary and eclectic furnishings whilst exposing and enhancing the architectural and heritage features of the inspirational properties they work with.
Whilst Pippa has always had a love of colour and texture and an instinctive ability to see the potential of a space, she studied business at Exeter and subsequently entered the world of finance. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Pippa worked in advertising where she spent over a decade as Finance and Group Commercial Director of some of the UK’s largest advertising and media groups.
Inevitably though, the desire to express her own creativity won out and Pippa set up the studio in 2006. Pippa’s approach to design is less about a ‘style’ and more about elements of texture, light, neutral colour palettes and the fusion of furniture styles and eclectic objects of interest. Pippa is now internationally recognised, having featured three times in the globally prestigious annual Andrew Martin Interior Design Review, with projects shortlisted for the Society of British & International Design awards for the last two years and with articles in interiors publications across the world.
Pippa recognises that every client and home is completely unique and in need of a very personal service and design approach. She takes the time to really understand the client and their lifestyle so that she can recognise their spirit and needs. Passionate about preserving and enhancing historic buildings, Pippa is renowned for getting to the heart of the properties she works with. This focused approach allows contemporary designs that work harmoniously within their historic structures.
Pippa’s extensive ‘black book’ of artisans, crafts people, suppliers and contractors is crucial in helping the studio deliver the excellence, precision, detail and creative solutions for which they are known. However, it is Pippa’s highly specialised, intimate knowledge of the Cotswolds, its beautiful, historic buildings and the accompanying lifestyle that is the key to her continuing success. Pippa oversees the design element of all of the studio’s projects.
‘The decision to instruct Pippa Paton was easy. She impressed us with her portfolio, her style, manner and obvious professionalism. We have never regretted it.’
