Lady Gay is one of the flotilla of revered Dunkirk Little Ships which rescued allied soldiers from the beaches of Dunkirk. Originally owned by Lord Dunhill, she is now in the possession of a family of four.
Tasked with creating a comfortable, stylish and practical interior able to withstand damp conditions, a modern design was selected which emphasised the beautiful original wood finish of the boat. A timeless black and off-white colour scheme was introduced to add a stylish warmth.
The project has ensured that Lady Gay is now a hugely enjoyable and fun river cruiser for the family whilst at the same time preserving her exceptional history for future generations. She now spends her days meandering peacefully up and down the Thames, popping in to local regattas and making commemorative visits to Dunkirk.
