Project Description

Gloucestershire Village House

The brief for this Cotswold stone house which had been owned by the family for over twenty years was to transform the layout to provide light and airy open plan living.

A large-scale renovation completely transformed the internal space on both floors, creating a large kitchen, dining area and vaulted sitting area, each a distinct space but collectively creating an impressive effect.  Features have been made of a glazed arch linking the outer gable wall to the main living space and a helical steel and glass staircase leading up to the first floor’s glazed walkway which connects the daughters’ individual suites.

Whilst the front exterior appears to be an everyday example of a modern Cotswold stone house, inside it is a simple, minimalist, loft style home for the family to enjoy for many years to come.
