Cotswold Barn Conversion
Originally two 19th century stone barns, the project required the design of a completely new, cohesive layout. The barns were joined end-to-end with a contemporary structure of floor-to-ceiling glass and an anthracite steel panel roof. The resulting building allowed the full length of the space and its various living areas to be seen immediately upon stepping over the building’s threshold.
Designed in an industrial-agricultural chic style, the walls are uniformly white to enhance the original features of the barn and to provide a canvas for eclectic pieces of art and sculpture, such as the bronze Highland Cow by Tessa Campbell Fraser.
The property now offers a stylish and functional home for all seasons. See the results in the gallery below. To read more about this renovation project, please find the Living Etc. article here.
