We are absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of our first book, Twenty First Century Cotswolds. Featuring some of our favourite interior design and architecture projects, the book explores how historic Cotswolds buildings can be reimagined for contemporary living.
Many of the homes in the Cotswolds are hundreds of years old, and the way we live has changed dramatically since their construction. At Pippa Paton Design, we’ve transformed a wide range of these wonderful buildings – from grand barns to small stone cottages – making them fit for modern life. And while the scope and sizes of our projects is always changing, we are consistently passionate about the need to protect and celebrate the buildings’ historic features
In Twenty First Century Cotswolds, we look back over a wide range of projects and reveal how we’ve preserved and enhanced during the redesign process. The structures and briefs we cover range widely – from the transformation of a Grade II Listed manor house into a sophisticated country estate, to breathing life back into a Dunkirk Little Ship and restructuring two stone barns to create a stylish family home. Each project is presented through beautiful photography, with accompanying notes from Pippa detailing the transformation process.
She says, “I wanted to write this book as a way of showing how these wonderful buildings can be transformed for life in the 21st Century, whilst also exposing, enhancing and preserving their inherent character. Also, to show that a breadth of styles can sit comfortably within them.”
We’re so pleased to be able to share Twenty First Century Cotswolds with you, and hope you enjoy reading it as much as we have enjoyed creating the homes that feature in it. The book is available to buy from our website here.
